Our Story
We started Bird Sitting Mississauga because we are bird people first. Years of living with our own flock taught us how much planning goes into leaving for even a few days, and how hard it is to find someone who reads a bird the way you do — who notices when a normally chatty conure goes quiet, or when a budgie isn't eating like itself.
Most pet sitters take on anything with fur or feathers. We made the opposite choice and work with birds only. That focus matters. A parrot's diet, body language, social wiring, and stress signals are nothing like a dog's, and caring for them well means understanding those differences instead of treating a bird as a smaller, quieter pet.
Boarding here is home-based, not kennel-style. Your bird settles into a lived-in Mississauga household — perches in the main rooms, our own birds for company, and out-of-cage time built into the day rather than scheduled as a favour. It is closer to a stay with family than a stretch in a back-room cage.
We work out of Mississauga, a city where plenty of households juggle airport runs, shift work, and the seasonal getaways that come with long Canadian winters. Over 10+ years and more than 900 birds, we have become the place local owners turn to when they need to leave town — from a single budgie to a full extra-large cockatoo, there's a spot for your bird here.
