These terms explain how things work when you book bird boarding or grooming with Bird Sitting Mississauga (“we,” “us,” or “our”), serving bird owners across Mississauga, Ontario. By submitting an inquiry through our website and boarding your bird with us, you agree to the points below. We've kept them plain and fair.
Inquiries & Booking
Sending a message through our contact form starts a conversation — it isn't a confirmed booking on its own. A stay is only confirmed once we've replied, agreed on the dates and care details, and let you know we can take your bird. We'll always confirm in writing before your bird's stay begins. Because our space is limited, we recommend reaching out early, especially around holidays and vacation season.
Custom Quotes & Pricing
Every bird is different, so we provide a custom quote based on your bird's species, the number of birds, the length of the stay, and any add-ons such as grooming. The price we quote and confirm with you is the price for that booking. Any prices shown elsewhere on this website are starting points to give you a sense of cost and may change; the figure in your confirmed quote is what applies.
What We Need From You (Owner Responsibilities)
Great care depends on good information. When you board your bird with us, you agree to:
- Give us accurate details about your bird — species, temperament, diet, medications, and any health or behavioural concerns
- Confirm that your bird is in good health and, to your knowledge, free of contagious illness at drop-off
- Provide your bird's usual food and any medications for the length of the stay, with clear instructions
- Share emergency contact information and, if possible, your avian veterinarian's details
- Drop off and pick up your bird at the times we've agreed on
Health & Emergency Care
We treat every bird as if it were our own and watch closely for any signs of stress or illness. In the unlikely event your bird becomes unwell during its stay, we'll try to reach you right away using the contact details you provided. If we can't reach you and your bird needs attention, you authorize us to seek appropriate veterinary care, with any related costs being your responsibility.
Cancellations & Changes
Plans change, and we understand. If you need to cancel or adjust your dates, please let us know as early as you can so we can free up the space for another bird. We'll go over any specific cancellation details with you when we confirm your booking. We also reserve the right to decline or end a stay if a bird's health or behaviour poses a risk to itself, to other birds, or to our team.
Liability
We provide attentive, caring boarding and grooming and take every reasonable precaution to keep your bird safe, comfortable, and well. That said, birds are living animals and some risks — such as illness, injury, or stress — can occur despite the best care. Except in cases of our negligence, you accept these inherent risks, and our responsibility is limited to providing the services described here with reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or for outcomes arising from incomplete or inaccurate information about your bird.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise this page and update the date above. The terms in effect when your booking is confirmed are the ones that apply to that stay.
