What We Offer
Our Services
Boarding, grooming, and lab testing for Mississauga's companion birds — the essentials your bird needs, all handled in one place.
Bird Sitting
This is the heart of what we do. While you're away from Mississauga, your bird lives alongside our own flock and follows the same routine our birds do. Each day brings clean water, fresh meals with a rotation of fruit and veg, real time out of the cage, hands-on play, and a photo or video so you can see how the day went.
Species We Serve
We welcome budgies, conures, lovebirds, parakeets, finches, canaries, cockatiels, quakers, caiques, ringnecks, eclectus, African greys, cockatoos, and more.
What's Included
- Fresh food and clean water prepared daily
- Seasonal fruits and vegetables served alongside seed or pellet diet
- 4 to 8 hours of supervised out-of-cage time every day
- Interactive play and one-on-one socialization
- Daily photo and video updates via text, email, or WhatsApp
- Medication administration if needed (at no extra cost)
Nail Clipping
When nails grow too long they catch on perches, toys, and clothing, and that can mean a cracked nail or a frightened bird. We file them back carefully, staying well clear of the quick and working at a pace that keeps your bird settled rather than rushed.
What's Included
- Quick, painless procedure completed in about 30 minutes
- Careful trimming — we never cut into the quick
- Quality assurance — you don't pay until you are satisfied
- Styptic powder on hand for safety
- Available for birds of all sizes
Wing Clipping
A measured wing clip is one of the simplest ways to stop a startled bird from bolting out an open door or window. We trim both wings evenly so movement stays balanced, keep the experience low-stress, and let nature do the rest — the feathers return on their own with the next moult.
What's Included
- Prevents dangerous accidental flights indoors and outdoors
- Seamless clip — done gently with minimal stress
- Feathers grow back fully after the next moult cycle
- Both wings clipped evenly for balanced movement
- Suitable for birds of all sizes
Beak Trimming
A beak that grows past its natural shape can turn eating and preening into a struggle. Using a dremel on its gentlest setting, we ease it back to a healthy length a little at a time. Because smaller species rarely need this, we offer beak trimming for medium and large birds only.
What's Included
- Uses a dremel tool at the lowest, gentlest setting
- Restores beak to a natural, healthy shape
- Helps your bird eat and preen comfortably
- Available for medium and large birds only
- Performed with patience — we take as long as your bird needs
DNA Sexing
Many parrot species look identical whether male or female, so guessing rarely works. We collect a tiny, painless blood sample from a nail and send it to a certified PCR lab, which returns a definitive answer along with an official certificate confirming your bird's sex.
What's Included
- Certified laboratory PCR testing for accurate results
- Small blood sample collected painlessly from the nail
- Results delivered in 2 to 3 weeks
- Official certification document provided
- Free nail clipping included with every DNA test
